EDIYADE VDW - satin black - is the 1st foal of top sport and broodmare VAYADE VDW (JAZZ x ARGUS x UNIFORM x EROS). VAYADE VDE VDW is an NKM mare (12th in 2005 TOP) with the following KWPN predictes: PROK, EPTM dr, elite, pref and sport dr. She was very successful in sport and competed on dressage level ZZL with point total to commence on level ZZZ. VAYADE VDW was successful in her EPTM test at age of 3yo, performed successfully at the 2006 4yo PAVO CUP semi finals, she was also successful at the 2007 5yo PAVO CUP finals (3rd mare in the ranking), she competed on dressage level Z1 at age of 6-years old, dressage level Z2 at age of 7-years.

At the age of 6yo - just before the start of her national dressage selection events for the World Championships in Verden - VAYADE VDW was injured in an unfortunate accident and had to rest for several months. Due to this an unfortunate injury it was decided to have VAYADE VDW covered by the KWPN approved stallion FRUHLING. At the age of 7yo VAYADE VDW gave birth to her first offspring, the beautiful filly EDIYADE VDW.

At birth EDIYADE VDW was a very lifely, chic and blood made filly. Extremely striking was her shining soft satin black skin. She certainly inherited this from GRISELDA, dam of her sire FRUHLING! As a filly her exterior and movements were like a dream and we hoped that EDIYADE VDW would further develop those promising qualities to the level of her dam VAYADE VDW. We felt extremely honoured with this beautiful and promising first filly EDIYADE VDW out of VAYADE VDW.

With EDIYADE VDW a breeder's dream came true. She is still a blood made mare with a satin black skin like her grand dam GRISELDA. EDIYADE VDW very much resembles her grand dam GRISELDA. She is quite sensitive, has a fantastic character, is long lined, has big striking eyes, has excellent powerful elestic gaits and is 1.66m tall.
EDIYADE VDW was granted the KWPN Elite predicate and she successfuly completed her 7-weeks KWPN mare performance test (EPTM), where she was 2nd best in the ranking of her group. See video at the beginning of this page.

EDIYADE VDW herself is not only excellent herself. She has also proven to be a very successful brood mare as well. A brood mare that inherits her attractive qualities and permits further improvement there where desired. See the picturs below.

Through the KWPN & Old approved stallion FRUHLING alias LANDJONKER (LANDADEL x TIN ROCCO) the highly desired and proven qualities of LANDADEL (Landgraf I x Farnese x Ladykiller) - refer to this article - and those of FRUHLING's damline - KWPN breeding family 726 - have been merged with the proven qualities of VAYADE VDW's damline - KWPN damline 102 / breeding family 236. Beauty, expression, neck length, elasticty, head-neck connection and blood were added. Dam EDIYADE VDW has multiple times proven to pass on those attractive qualities to her offspring.
