NAYADE STV

In the year 2000 NVDWhorses dressage breeding stud began with the purchase of the then 5yo KWPN mare NAYADE STV.
NAYADE STV was bred by the globally well known former quality dressage breeding stud STV (Stoeterij 't Vierspan) of the family Biemans in Handel The Netherlands.
The very successful STV dressage breeding program was founded on their 3 famous foundation mares - 1) LIRIS (s.Eros) - dam of KWPN approved preferent stallion UNIFORM (s.Wahtamin XX), 2) MONIC (s.Galopin) - great-grand dam of KWPN approved GP (dr) stallion JUNIOR STV (Uniform x Variant x Eros x Galopin) and 3) LILIUM (s.Eros) - dam of KWPN approved PSG/Int Inter-I stallion VARIANT (s.Afrikaner XX). Worth knowing: Both dam sires of the KWPN dressage breeding and sport phenomena JAZZ and NEGRO are offspring from the unique LILIUM damline - KWPN damline 102 / breeding family 236. VARIANT is dam sire of NEGRO and ULSTER is dam sire of JAZZ.
All three STV foundation mares LIRIS, MONIC and LILIUM were awarded the KWPN predicates "keur", "preferent" and "prestatie".

Thanks to the family Biemans the STV dressage quality genes were passed on to NAYADE STV - and to her excellent progeny - through two of the three STV foundation mares. 1) Through LILIUM s.Eros, as her daughter the keur, EPTM mare JADE STV s.Uniform is dam of NAYADE STV and 2) through LIRIS s.Eros, as her son Uniform is sire of dam JADE STV.

NVDWhorses objective is to preserve and extend the unique dressage genes of KWPN damline 102 / breeding family 236 by breeding - on a small scale - modern dressage horses from this promising damline. Breeding NVDWhorses that are equal or exceed the former STV stud dressage quality level, by carefully combining STV stud progeny with improving and/or confirming approved breeding stallions out of sound (x-rays) and proven performance dam lines - with Amor and/or stamping Holstein 18/318 line genes in their pedigrees. Other essential stallion selection criterions are: electric dominant powerful hind leg, suppleness, balance and smooth transitions. Also important are expression, drive, rideability and length (body, neck and upper legs).

NVDWhorses is breeding with the unique KWPN damline 102 / breeding family 236. The brown mare Hestia Sgldt 12280hb is the foundation mare of this damline. Her sire is Declamator GrPS 589Sgrt (Gambo OLD 325A / GrPS Prämienhengst pref x Simon GrPS 240A / GrPS/28G Prämienhengst). An origin with lots of traces to influential Holst genetics. NVDWhorses take Influential Holst genetical connections into account - more than average - when selecting stallions for their breeding program.
This damline has already delivered several approved stallions. I.e. Variant, Ulster, Elegant, Guelderson, Monarch, Organist and Bretzel Des Feeries. In 2002 "Saffier van D" (by Donnerhall) out of Diamant STV was appointed for the KWPN stallion performance test at Ermelo. Diamant STV is a full sister to Jade STV, dam of NVDWhorses foundation mare Nayade STV (Argus x Uniform x Eros).
