The combination of pref, Z-dam NAYADE STV - by the GP stallion ARGUS (s.PION) and KWPN approved GP, pref stallion JAZZ (s.COCKTAIL) delivered this great dressage mare VAYADE VDW.

The KWPN stallion ULSTER, damsire of JAZZ, descends from the damline of NAYADE STV. To further secure the attractive dam line characteristics, the ULSTER blood was one of the main reasons to combine JAZZ with dam NAYADE STV.

In addition to above reasoning - as a lottery ticket - many years later JAZZ has proven to be THE world greatest stamping dressage stallion.

WORTH KNOWING - the other world famous KWPN approved stallion NEGRO has damsire VARIANT. This KWPN stallion VARIANT also descends from the dam line of NAYADE STV. Considering the dam's sire genes of JAZZ and NEGRO it seems no overstatement to say that the dressage genes from the dam line of Nayade STV are rare and promising, and those have been further enhanced in the gene package of VAYADE.VDW through her sire JAZZ..

As a foal VAYADE VDW was already striking - both in presence and in personality - and right from the start of her career as a 3yo she performed amazingly. At her KWPN studbook tests she received both her 'star' and 'prelim. keur' predicate. Next, at the provincial studbook inspection she was appointed for the KWPN national mare inspection (NMK) in Ermelo where VAYADE VDW finished in the top collection (National Queens Category) of the year 2005 .

Also at the age of 3 year old VAYADE VDW successfully passed the KWPN mare talent test (EPTM dr) in Deurne, was awarded the KWPN PROK (X-ray) certificate and received her prestigiousKWPN elite certificate.

In 2006 at the age of 4 years old - under the saddle of her trainer Saskia Coumans - VAYADE VDW successfully passed the KWPN dressage talent preselections (PAVO-CUP) , where she was invited for the national PAVO-CUP semiFinal in Ermelo. At the age of 5 years old - under the saddle of her trainer Remco Zuidam - VAYADE VDW even successfully passed the PAVO-CUP semiFinals and received her ticket for the national PAVO-CUP Finals.

At this 2007 PAVO-CUP Finals event in Ermelo VAYADE VDW finished on the honourable place of 3rd best national mare. With this excellent result she got her ticket for the qualifiers, where the best national dressage horses compete for being delegated to the World Championships for young dressage horses in Verden, Germany.

Unfortunately VAYADE VDW got injured just prior to the commencement of the qualifiers and prevented her from participating. In order for the injury to heal, she needed a few months rest. This unwanted event was taken as an opportunity to breed a foal with her and resulted in the top breeding mare EDIYADE VDW s.FRULING.

In the middle of her above mentioned pregnancy she resumed her training under the saddle of PSG/Inter I rider Edith van der Wielen. In a few months this combination successfully qualified in the Z2 dr, with which VAYADE VDW was awarded the KWPN sport predicate.

After the birth of her first offspring EDIYADE VDW the schooling of VAYADE VDW was resumed by her previous trainer Remco Zuidam. This combination got qualified in ZZL dr and collected the required points for the next level ZZZ dr.

Just before commencing the competition at level ZZZ dr her dam NAYADE STV passed away. Because of this very unfortunate event it was decided to take VAYADE VDW out of sport to take over the breeding duty from her dam.

As a brood mare VAYADE VDW has proven to be not only excellent in sport, but also in breeding. Based on her first 3 offspring she was awarded her KWPN preferent certificate. Those 3 offspring are: PROK, EPTM, elite mare EDIYADE VDW s.FRUHLING, 2nd KWPN inspection stallion JIPPIYADE VDW s.EL CAPONE and D-OC, EPTM dr, elite, PAVO-CUP semiFinals mare IRISYADE VDW s.UPHILL.

In the meantime till now (Q3 2020) VAYADE VDW delivered another 4 excellent offspring; stallion MAGNUSYADE NVDW s.FEEL GOOD, mare NOVAYADE NVDW s.FEEL GOOD, stallion OTISYADE NVDW s.FEEL GOOD and her 7th offspring colt POLARISYADE II NVDW s.TAMINIAU.

VAYADE VDW clearly inherits her excellent qualities. Especially her personality, forward drive and excellent powerful hindleg. She is now - 2020 - 18 years old and again in foal of TAMINIAU s.TOTO Jr. At her current age of 18 yOld VAYADE VDW still looks and behaves as if she is a young lady and loves to raise her new born colt. We hope VAYADE VDW will continue to deliver a few more quality offspring in coming years.
